01、競賽簡介 About NPFC

NPFC全美個(ge) 人金融挑戰賽National Personal Finance Challenge是全美唯一針對初高中生的個(ge) 人金融素養(yang) 類競賽，測試個(ge) 人金融理財和經濟相關(guan) 知識。

NPFC主要包括初中組和高中組兩(liang) 個(ge) 大組別。

The National Personal Finance Challenge (NPFC) is a nationwide competition that provides high school students the opportunity to build and demonstrate their knowledge of money management. Teams showcase their expertise in the concepts of earning income, spending, saving, investing, managing credit, and managing risk.

NPFC has two divisions - Middle School and High School Division.

02、適合學生 Eligibility 

適合全球所有對金融、經濟、商科等相關(guan) 領域感興(xing) 趣或意圖申請相關(guan) 大學專(zhuan) 業(ye) 的初高中生

All middle and high school students are recommended to compete if interested in finance, economics and related business fields or planning to apply for business-related majors in college.

03、競賽流程 Contest Structure 

【初賽】老師注冊(ce) ，由三至四名初/高中生組成團隊參加線上測試。選手需要在35分鍾內(nei) 完成30道選擇題，每題答對得10分，團隊分數取團隊得分最高的三名隊員成績總和。胡楊賽隊屬於(yu) VA弗吉尼亞(ya) 賽區。

若出現平局，線上答題總耗時短的隊伍獲勝；如若還是分不出勝負，第四名隊員的成績和耗時將作為(wei) 評判勝負依據。

【決(jue) 賽】每個(ge) 州的冠軍(jun) 隊伍會(hui) 有資格參加國家決(jue) 賽。通常6月初某一天舉(ju) 行。決(jue) 賽形式為(wei) 案例分析演講。

[State Level] The approved test center will resgiter student teams. Teams of three to four students complete online exams that may qualify them for an exciting championship competition. Each student will be given 35 minutes to complete a 30 question rapid-fire exam. Each correct answer is worth 10 points. The team's score is the sum of the top 3 students' scores. Populus Academy is registered in the Virginia state.

In the event of a tie, the tiebreaker will be the team that used the least amount of time on the online exam. If necesarry, the score and testing time of the fourth student will be used as additional tiebreakers.

[Finals] The winning team from each state moves on to the National Finals. Finals consist of a case study where teams present to a panel of judges.

【初賽】3/6-3/31（截止美東(dong) 時間下午5點）的某一時間段（具體(ti) 時間由學生和考點商議確定）；線上

【決(jue) 賽】6/4-6/5；線下（俄亥俄州克利夫蘭(lan) 市）

The state-level contest will be held Monday, March 6, 2023 - Friday, March 31, 2023 at 5:00 PM EST. The specific time is set by the registered test center.

For spring 2023, the National Finals will be held at the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland where teams will compete in-person on June 4-5. While in Cleveland all expenses will be covered (this includes food, lodging, and all events. This excludes travel costs to/from state of origin).

05、獎項 Awards

決(jue) 賽勝出隊伍會(hui) 獲得獎金，其中第一名2000美金，第二名1000美金，第三名500美金，第四名250美金。

Top-performing teams in the National Personal Finance Challenge receive a trophy, banner, and cash prizes for each student member corresponding to their team’s rank in the National Finals:

1st place: $2,000

2nd place: $1,000

3rd place: $500

4th place: $250
