競賽簡介

About WGHS

沃頓全球高中投資大賽（沃頓商賽）是針對9-12年級高中生的在線投資模擬商賽。在導師的指導下，學生們(men) 4到7個(ge) 學生為(wei) 一小組。小組團隊一起學習(xi) 、合作、溝通、冒險、多元化股票投資結構，做公司金融分析，行業(ye) 金融分析和相關(guan) 虛擬資金投資。

團隊模擬管理客戶資產(chan) ，在10周時間內(nei) ，需要學生進行公司、行業(ye) 、經濟分析，選擇投資計劃，以期實現客戶的投資目標。大賽配備了經過批準的股票清單（選擇了一些國內(nei) 外股票）和沃頓投資模擬器（WInS），可以讓買(mai) 賣股票的學生製定投資策略，分析行業(ye) 和公司， 並使用10萬(wan) 美金的虛擬現金建立投資組合。

The Wharton Global High School Investment Competition is a free, online investment simulation for high school students (9th to 12th grade) and teachers. Students work in teams of four to seven, guided by a teacher as their advisor. Together, they learn about teamwork, communication, risk, diversification, company and industry analysis, and many other important aspects of investing.

Within 10 weeks, students in teams used the approved stock list and WInS (Wharton Investment Simulator) to invest with $100,000 and complete a report for a given case study.

適合學生

Eligibility

• 比賽開始時年齡不小於14歲，年齡不超過18歲
• 組隊需在同一高中就讀的學生
• 金融、股票投資等商業領域有興趣，未來有誌於讀商學類專業的學生

• High school students (no younger than 14, no older than 18 at the start of the competition).

• Students must form a team with members (and an advisor) from the same high school.

• Recommended to students who intend to apply for finance, economics and business-related majors in college.

Registration for the 2023-2024 Global High School Investment Competition opens on June 5 and closes on September 15, 2023. The detailed schedule is to be announced.

05 難度與(yu) 含金量 Competitiveness

難度極高，含金量極高：全球高中生金融/商賽頂流，全球隻有50支隊伍晉級，但參賽價(jia) 值極高，即使沒有進入複賽，參賽經曆納入個(ge) 人簡曆/課外活動中也是極具亮點；若學生擔任隊長，那麽(me) 對於(yu) 申請沃頓商學院夏校以及美國藤校及頂尖大學更是加分多多。

往年參賽學生成績：2022-23申請季Sofia同學連續兩(liang) 年擔任沃頓商賽隊長，盡管遺憾未能晉級，但仍憑借包括該活動在內(nei) 的一係列商賽及領導力活動最終錄取就讀CMU卡耐基梅隆大學商學院（卡耐基梅隆大學US News綜排Top 22，本科商學院專(zhuan) 排Top 5）。

Extremely competitive but extremely helpful for college application: Only top 50 teams will be selected as semifinalists based on the strength of their final reports. However, this also means it will add much highlight to applicants' resumes/ ECA profiles even if not eligible for semifinals. If students can compete as the team leaders, it will even be more helpful for appkying for Wharton summer programs and top US universities and Ivy schools.

Past student application result: Sofia who applied during 2022-23 was accepted by CMU Undergraduate Business Program (CMU is ranked top 22 by US News, and its undergraduate business program is ranked top 5).
