在美本申請中，早申（ED）是錄取概率最大的階段，也是衝(chong) 擊夢校最好的機會(hui) 。許多美國大學會(hui) 給沒有申請ED1或沒有收獲錄取的同學增加一次ED2。 不知不覺時間來到了11月下旬，EA和ED1的申請已經首戰告捷，美本早申請基本告一段落。
如果ED1已經收獲錄取，那麽(me) 恭喜你提前結束23 Fall申請季～但如果運氣稍弱，那麽(me) 接下來的ED2和RD就至關(guan) 重要了。今天我們(men) 來聊聊ED2的申請戰略。
接下來的幾周，各大學院正在陸續公布ED1的錄取結果。這段時間內(nei) 焦慮是不可避免的，而沒有得到期望答複的學生可能想知道他們(men) 仍有哪些選擇。對於(yu) 希望提高自己被頂尖大學錄取幾率的高三學生來說，還有另一條途徑。
雖然並不能重新申請ED1學校，但ED2的存在依然可以讓學生們(men) 在常規申請（RD）截止日期前申請學校。沒有在早申階段拿到offer的同學也不用焦慮，因為(wei) 一部分大學現在仍然開放ED2申請。
敲重點！！ED2是與(yu) ED1相對應的一種鮮為(wei) 人知的方式，但它遵循類似的規則。作為(wei) 早申形式之一，它們(men) 都具備唯一性和捆綁性。在這種規定下，如果被錄取，則該決(jue) 定具有約束力，學生必須入學。它給了學生第二次機會(hui) 來證明他們(men) 對特定院校的承諾，並表明持續興(xing) 趣。

從(cong) 上述對ED2的解讀不難看出，從(cong) 各方麵來說， ED2都是一個(ge) 非常不錯的選擇，因為(wei) 它既延長了申請時間，也能將入讀知名大學的概率大大提升。
延長申請時間
ED2延長了申請截止日期，給學生額外的幾周時間來加強他們(men) 的大學申請。與(yu) 11 月的ED1截止日期不同，RD截止日期通常在 12 月或 1 月，而ED2的申請日期往往與(yu) 這些日期（12月至1月中旬）一致。有了這些額外的時間，學生就可以在提交ED2申請時納入他們(men) 可能會(hui) 忽略的年終成就。

提升錄取率
一般來說，申請ED 的學生的錄取率要高於(yu) 申請RD的學生。但不得不提的是，較高的錄取率並不一定表明申請ED更 "容易 "被錄取，還有其他一些因素在起作用。此外，由於(yu) 學生是向自己最心儀(yi) 的學校申請ED，因此他們(men) 更傾(qing) 向於(yu) 自我選擇，從(cong) 而更有可能成為(wei) 學校的合適人選。
但是與(yu) 之相比的是，ED2也並不是毫無壞處。
撞車常規申請
ED2和RD申請的截止日期通常在同一時間或前後。對於(yu) 一些學生來說，在這段時間內(nei) 處理額外的申請可能會(hui) 讓他們(men) 不知所措。因此，學生需要花額外多的時間規劃各階段的選校及申請。
錄取率提升幅度較小
雖然各大學很少公布ED1和ED2錄取率差異的確切數據，但很明顯，總體(ti) 而言，ED2的錄取率提升幅度較小。因為(wei) ED1申請者已經填補了一部分新生的名額，從(cong) 而導致ED2申請者的錄取名額減少。因此，在這一階段申請人所麵臨(lin) 的競爭(zheng) 會(hui) 更加激烈。
選擇限製

01 Tier 0
Tier 0檔次屬於(yu) 申請美國本科最高認可度的學校，這一類梯級的學校對學生的基本要求非常高。這些學校的錄取率低於(yu) 10%，競爭(zheng) 非常激烈。它們(men) 需要的是優(you) 秀的學術成績和出色的課外活動，但這些隻足以讓申請者進入競爭(zheng) 行列。

那麽(me) ... 你在標化或GPA不占優(you) 勢的情況下，可以以個(ge) 人特色、文書(shu) 、活動等輔助申請，突出多樣性，幫助申請者在ED2階段鎖定一個(ge) Top 30的位置，規避過度看重標化/GPA的RD階段。
