In today's culture, it is frequently asserted that the conventional values and behaviors maintained by older generations are incompatible with those of the younger set.  Despite the seeming obsolescence of certain practices, I maintain that other beliefs should not be disregarded.

Some concepts will inevitably be eliminated since they have been shown to be inconsistent or inappropriate for the modern world. In the past, people favored males over femailes and praised a patriarchal culture. Girls were expected to give up their educations to care for their brothers while men were encouraged to pursue their dreams. In the present period, where gender equality is advocated and adhered to, it is no longer acceptable for boys and girls to be raised differently. As a result, the obsolete view is gradually crumbling as women are growing empowered to make their own decisions.

However, there are some traditional values that reflect the wisdom of our ancestors and continue to be relevant in today's society. The older generation places a high premium on generosity and kindness. The Confucian maxim "Do not do to others what you would not have them do to you" is essential to practicing morals and virtues. Other qualities such as honesty and filial piety are appreciated in both antiquity and modernity. The historical scholars' lessons are still applicable and have benefited the youth of today in forming healthy interpersonal connections and producing a harmonious society throughout the past several decades. In this sense, traditional ideas provide instruction on how to become a better person, how to get along with others, and how to live a meaningful, fulfilling life.

In conclusion, despite the fact that the perspectives of older people are frequently regarded as inconsistent, there is still an essence that may be selected and preserved from those insights.
