InnovOak School covers an area of over 60,000 sq . ft . , with teaching area over 15,000 sq . ft . Our teaching building is equipped with a professional and intelligent building man- agement system, central air conditioning system and HVAC air filtration system to pro- vide students with a comfortable and quiet learning environment . There are media room, library, indoor stadium, swimming pool, outdoor basketball court, tennis court and other facilities on campus, providing students with a wide range of teaching resources, a wealth of courses and sports activities .

InnovOak School provides a bridge for our stu - dents to university, and we have a team of expert university counsellors to provide students and their parents with specific careers advice, practical help and support . From the time each student joins our school, our counsellors work with them on a regu- lar basis to map out an individual plan to achieve a university place that fits their aims and suits their interests . Our counsellors spend time with each student and their parents in individual sessions during the application process . We hold various in- formation sessions throughout the year and coun- sellors are available to talk to parents face-to-face over video call or by phones on an appointment basis .

05、A SYLLABUS SUITABLE FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

更適合國際留學生的課程大綱

In the Canadian education system, some course curriculums are mainly designed based on local students' familiarity with Canadian education system and proficiency in English . However, we care about learning experience for all students, especially international students . So we have redesigned curriculums to not only meet the requirement of Cana- dian Education Bureau, but also to help international students to build a strong founda- tion on English language as well as quickly adapt to the Canadian education system .

06、PRACTICAL TEACHING METHOD

在實踐中學習(xi)

As research suggests, students who learn by doing have a deeper understanding of the content in class, and at the same time, they are more likely to apply what they learnt to the real life . Our school offers all courses in a practical method, we use real life cases to help students understand the content of the course, for instance we take students out- side the campus to observe insects in Biology class .

English is the only language of instruction in our school . All the teachers and staff of our school communicate with students in English . More importantly, students are required to speak English to communicate with other students and teachers in English during the school period . After class, students can also practice English by communicating with their host families in English . All these measures are aimed at helping students adapt to the English environment as well as have a better understanding of the local culture .

We understand the challenges that new students face, those who live in a non-native English-speaking coun- try . Introducing our after -class tu - toring program, which is an entrance transition program that helps stu - dents understand what has been taught in class .

OSSD靈活的學分轉換製度:

根據安大略省教育部規定：應(往)屆高中畢業(ye) 生或同等學曆，大專(zhuan) 在讀、大專(zhuan) 畢業(ye) 生、本科在讀生，憑高中畢業(ye) 證及在校／會(hui) 考／高考成績單最多可以轉換為(wei) 24 個(ge) 安省高中學分，獲取安省高中畢業(ye) 證需要再修 6 個(ge) 安省大學預科課程學分。

中國學生可以從(cong) 任一年級開始就讀，可以通過學分轉換，減少所修學分和對應的誌願活動時間 (具體(ti) 轉換比例根據學生水平測試情況由校長決(jue) 定)。

國內(nei) 高中學分轉換

可入學時間：因為(wei) 靈活的學分課程，所以 InnovOak 可以每年 3 次滾動開班，時間分別為(wei) 1 月， 6 月，9 月。
