英國謝菲爾德大學招收計算機博士1名，強化學習(xi) 方向，2025年秋季入學

We are currently looking to hire a PhD student to work on reinforcement learning from human feedback at the University of Sheffield. The aim is to develop novel reinforcement learning from human feedback algorithms that can solve complex deep reinforcement learning tasks more efficiently from limited, uncertain, and inconsistent human feedback. We will also support the student to work on any other reinforcement learning related projects if they want.

The preferred starting date for this PhD position would be in October 2025.Supervisors: Dr. Bei Peng, Dr. Robert Loftin

Requirements:

1. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field.
2. Strong programming skills and mathematical background in machine learning/reinforcement learning.
3. Good English communication skills, with an IELTS score of 6.5 or above (with no less than 6.0 in each component).
4. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and familiarity with common deep learning and machine learning frameworks.

Scholarship information:

For UK home students, this is a fully funded 3.5-year PhD studentship.
