01、競賽簡介

About BBO

由英國皇家生物學會(hui) Royal Society of Biology (RSB)於(yu) 1995年設立，是英國全國性最具影響力的伟德BETVlCTOR体育官网之一，現由UKBC組委會(hui) 獨立運營，旨在吸引熱愛生物領域的學生挑戰自我，並選拔參加國際生物奧賽IBO的英國學霸。2022年總計有710個(ge) 學校、10892名學生參賽。

The British Biology Olympiad (BBO) challenges and stimulates students with an interest in biology to expand and extend their talents.

In addition to encouraging and rewarding students in their studies, the BBO is the first stage in selecting a team to represent the UK at the International Biology Olympiad (IBO).In 2022, 710 schools and 10,892 students in total globally participated in the contest.

02、競賽亮點

Why Join BBO

通常60%的參賽選手都有獲獎資格，獲獎機率高。

作為(wei) IBO選拔賽，與(yu) USABO有共通性，可以作為(wei) 來年USABO的熱身賽或模考練手。

As it is designed to select team members to compete in IBO, the problems can be compared to USA Biology Olympiad (USABO. This means BBO is a good mock practice for USABO.

03、參賽資格

Eligibility

年齡範圍廣：

年齡16-19歲的學生均可參賽，且不阻止年齡更小的選手參賽（多數參賽選手年齡在17-18歲）。

地域無限製：

全球任何地區學生都可以參賽，但沒有進入國家隊資格。

Students aged 16-19 can join the contest. Whilst most students are 17-18, younger students often take part.

Students from all types of schools and from anywhere in the world can take part.

05、競賽形式

Contest Format

線上競賽，由負責老師監考。

2份試卷，各45分鍾。

題型均為(wei) 選擇題。

題目數量每年會(hui) 有浮動，兩(liang) 套題加起來基本控製在65-75題。

最終成績為(wei) 2份試卷成績總和。

允許攜帶計算器。

The competition consists of two, 45-minute multiple choice papers to be taken online under staff supervised exam conditions. Each paper includes about 65-75 problems each paper. The final score will be combined by the two papers' scores.

06、獎項設置（含2020年獲獎數據）

金獎Gold （分數65%以上，6%的選手獲獎，約508人）。

銀獎Silver（分數59%以上，11%的選手獲獎，約931人）。

銅獎Bronze（分數55%以上，10%的選手獲獎，約846人）。

High Commended優(you) 異獎（分數47%以上，26%的選手獲獎，約2200人）。

Commended優(you) 勝獎（分數42%以上，18%的選手獲獎，約1523人）。

Gold (Score 65%+, 6% participants awarded, about 508 contestants).

Silver (Score 59%+, 11% participants awarded, about 931 contestants).

Bronze (Score 55%+, 10% participants awarded, about 846 contestants).

High Commended (Score 47%+, 26% participants awarded, about 2,200 contestants).

Commended (Score 42%+, 18% participants awarded, about 1,523 contestants).
