This course is designed for students who are currently enrolled in an AP U.S. History course and/or are planning to take the AP U.S. History exam in the spring. The course will include a review of the major topics and themes, as well as test-taking strategies for the AP exam in May, including primary source analysis and document-based essay writing. Students will leave this course better prepared to earn a 5 on their AP U.S. History exam.
Learning Objectives
By the end of this course, students will be able to:
Create original poems in different writing styles
Develop writing skills in diction, imagery, symbolist and stricture
Analyze poetry for understanding
Draft and make significant revisions to their own work
